I worked closely with the startup Rhein Ruhr Systemtechnik (RRS) during the mindbox program and DB infrastructure. Relay interlockings are still the backbone of the railroad network. Everyone knows the message "Train delayed due to interlocking fault." RRS has found a solution to digitalize these interlockings and to enable predictive maintenance. The passion of the founding team (all in their early 20s), who want to solve the problem with an intrinsic enthusiasm, is worth mentioning.
